Welcome to our brand new location! roam@The Boot. Based in the gorgeous country village of Berwick St James in Wiltshire, The Boot Inn is a beautiful traditional public house with a stunning garden. Just 15 minutes from the historic city of Salisbury and historical landmark Stonehenge. Our brand new alfresco cooking mecca awaits, where you and your friends can experience a masterclass in cooking over fire using some of the best platforms on offer.

We take great pride in using top-quality brands, including Big Green Egg - the original Kamado grill and, in our opinion, still the best. Somerset Grill, a standout in British craftsmanship, offers unmatched wood-fired cooking versatility. OFYR brings a the theatre and a social cooking experience, perfect for entertaining. And Alfa Forni delivers exceptional performance, not just for pizzas but for a variety of incredible dishes.

We also offer classic kettle BBQ, smokers, gas, pellet smokers, fire pits and traditional Asado fire cooking.

We offer superb brand specific classes like Big Green Egg and OFYR as well as ‘All Fire Days’, where you can try different styles of fire cooking on multiple platforms. Every experience we host is equal in flavour and flame. Whether you’re joining us for a fire school session or a corporate event, your time at The Boot Inn - hosted by roam - will be packed with expert fire-cooking tips, mouthwatering recipes and unforgettable feasts.

Wow! What a fabulous day. We’ve been on loads of different cookery courses from regional cuisines to high end, but this was the best by absolutely miles. We came all the way from Manchester but it was worth it and we are already planning on going back in the future to develop our learning. 

Ross and the team were brilliant on so many levels; lovely welcome, incredible food and drinks throughout and loads of patient, practical help. Nothing was too much trouble. We learned a huge amount right from the start re. preparation, fuel, lighting etc. But the food was out of this world and really helped us to understand the potential of our Big Green Egg and how we could be using it. We’re so glad we did this course, I think it is vital if you have a Big Green Egg and you are just using it as an expensive BBQ (as we were!). Cannot recommend highly enough.
